Description

The lychgate to the churchyard was built around 1891 by C. Hodgson Fowler in memory of the Right Honourable E. Stanhope. It is constructed of timber with an ashlar base and features a plain tiled roof. The structure is supported by arch-braced timber posts that stand on an ashlar wall with a chamfered top. It also includes decorative cusped bargeboards and a braced king post roof. This lychgate is included in the listing for its group value only.
