Description

This memorial, located approximately 4 meters east of the Church of St. Vedest, is dedicated to Lord William Henry Cavendish Bentinck, who died in 1870. The memorial itself was likely created around 1890. It features three square steps leading up to a pedestal made of Portland stone, which has fielded panelling and inscriptions on the north and south sides. Rising from the pedestal is a column made of Purbeck marble, approximately 3 meters tall, topped with a Portland stone cap and a copper ball finial.
