Description

No. 11 The Market Place is a shop with accommodation above, now used as a house, dating from the mid-18th century. The building is constructed of red brick and features a very steeply pitched pantile roof with wooden eaves and a single stack at the rear. It has two storeys and a two-bay front, with the bay to the right projecting slightly. This bay contains a segmental bowed shop window with three glazing bar sashes, the two flanking sashes being narrower. The shop window is adorned with reeded pilasters and a broad bracketed entablature. To the left, there is a doorway with a segmental head and a partially glazed fielded panelled door. Above, there are two glazing bar sashes with segmental heads and raised painted stone keystones.
