Description
No. 21 Market Place is a mid-18th century house located at the corner of Queen Street. It is constructed of red brick and features rusticated stone quoins, a frieze, and a moulded cornice. The building stands three storeys high and has five sash windows, two of which have single glazing bars, while two are blocked. The third storey has similar windows, with three blocked, and the ground floor has two blocked windows and two that have been converted into shop windows. The entrance features a plain Tuscan doorcase with engaged columns, a plain frieze, and a cornice, along with a six-panel door and a traceried rectangular fanlight. The two-window frontage facing Market Place has a modern shop front.
