Description

No. 2 The Market Place is a house dating from the late 18th century, constructed of red brick with a slate roof featuring a single gable and ridge stacks that mark the boundaries of the property. The building stands two storeys tall with a cellar and has a three-bay front that includes a high plinth and a first-floor band. There is a cellar opening on the left side of the plinth, which has a segmental head and a plank door. A central doorway, accessed by three steps, has a segmental head, a 20th-century overlight, and a partially glazed panelled door. The doorway is flanked by single glazing bar sash windows, with two additional glazing bar sashes above, all featuring segmental heads.
