Description
This is a cottage located at 33 High Street, dating from around 1700, with mid-19th century and 20th century alterations. It is constructed of red brick, featuring some painted ashlar dressings, and has a slate roof with a central axial ridge stack and a dentillated band just below the eaves. The building is a single storey with an attic and has a three-bay front, with the central bay projecting slightly. Above the central doorway, which has a reeded doorcase, a blind overlight, and a panelled door, there is ashlar coping. The doorway is flanked by single glazing bar sash windows that have raised, painted keystones and 20th century shutters. There are also two dormers above with segmental heads and two-light sliding sashes.
