Description
Number 179 and gateway are an early 19th-century lodge associated with West Skirbeck House. The lodge is rendered with a hipped slate roof, stone dressings, overhanging eaves, and two end wall stacks. It has an L-shaped plan. The front of the lodge has a single-storey, three-bay facade with three margin-light sash windows. A rear wing contains a six-panel door set within a grooved wooden surround with roundels and a flat hood. To the north, two ashlar gate piers now support a 20th-century five-bar gate. The interior of the lodge has not been inspected. The property is also listed within Wyberton Parish.
