Description

SNARESTONE MEASHAM ROAD SK 30 NW 6/86 (East Side) Snarestone Lodge Farmhouse GV II House of C18 and c1800. Red brick and renewed C20 plain tile twin span roof with stone kneelers. Wing to left with hipped slate roof. 3 rebuilt blue brick end stacks and 2 similar ridge stacks on wing. Main range of C18, Flemish bond brick, with cambered lintels and brick dentilled eaves. 3 storeys of 2 windows, 3-light casements, 1st and ground floor left with top lights. Ground floor right a 4/8 sash. Central doorway with cambered lintel, 2 stone steps, part glazed door and 2-pane overlight. To left the 2 storey 3 window wing of c1800, with brick dentilled eaves, cambered lintels below with flat gauged above. Left window bay projects slightly. 8/8: 6/6: 8/8 sashes over 9/9 sash type, an altered window and a 3-light casement with top lights. On left end various casements and door: rear adjoins Snarestone Lodge.
