Description

Snarestone Lodge Farmhouse is a house dating from the 18th century and around 1800. It is constructed of red brick and features a renewed 20th-century plain tile twin span roof with stone kneelers. To the left, there is a wing with a hipped slate roof. The building has three rebuilt blue brick end stacks and two similar ridge stacks on the wing. The main range, from the 18th century, is built in Flemish bond brick and has cambered lintels and brick dentilled eaves.

The farmhouse has three storeys with two windows on each floor, featuring 3-light casements on the first and ground floors, with top lights on the left side. The ground floor on the right has a 4/8 sash window. The central doorway has a cambered lintel, two stone steps, a part-glazed door, and a two-pane overlight. To the left is a two-storey wing from around 1800, which has brick dentilled eaves and cambered lintels below, with flat gauged lintels above. The left window bay projects slightly and features 8/8, 6/6, and 8/8 sash windows above a 9/9 sash type window, an altered window, and a 3-light casement with top lights. Various casements and a door are located on the left end, and the rear of the farmhouse adjoins Snarestone Lodge.
