Description

This is an early 19th-century building consisting of two properties, Nos. 51 and 53 Wood Street. The building is constructed of red brick and features an eaves cornice and a slate roof. It is two storeys high, with two windows on each floor. No. 51 retains two early 19th-century casement windows, along with dripstone moulds above the windows and doors. A round arched entrance is located at the rear on both the west and east sides, though the eastern entrance is now blocked. No. 53 has a six-panelled door, with the top four panels glazed, and a Gothic arched fanlight above it. The building is included on the list for its group value.
