Description

No. 55 on Wood Street is a building from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a plinth. The roof is modern and covered with pantiles, and there are chimneys at both ends and off-center. The building stands three stories high and has four windows, which are barred sashes set beneath segmental arches. The entrance is off-center and includes a pediment, pilasters, and a rectangular fanlight, accessed by stone steps with a simple iron handrail. To the east, there is a one-storey wing that has a tall stone plinth, an eaves cornice, and an old tiled roof.
