Description

Nos 41 and 43 on Wood Street are early 19th-century buildings constructed from red brick with a slate roof that is hipped at the southern end. The southern facade features two storeys and two barred sash windows, along with a blocked eastern door. The eastern elevation has five windows, which include a blank space on each floor, with a mix of sashes and casements that have glazing bars. These buildings are notable for their group value, situated on one of the town's main streets, and for the prominence of their eastern elevation as one approaches the town.
