Saltby Lodge is a mid-19th century farmhouse. It is constructed of roughcast and colourwashed material, likely covering ironstone, with a 20th-century concrete tile roof. The building is two storeys high and arranged in three bays. A central sandstone porch is square and stuccoed. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars. The roof is gabled, featuring internal brick gable-end stacks.
