Description
Hawthorne Farmhouse is a late 18th-century farmhouse located on the south side of Back Lane in Saltby. It is constructed from coursed ironstone and features a roof made of black glazed pantiles. The building has two storeys and is arranged in three bays, with an additional door bay to the right of the west elevation. The former central doorway has been blocked and now has a single light casement window. On both the left and right sides, there are three-light timber casement windows with glazing bars, which are also found on the first floor. The central first-floor window consists of two lights. All windows are set beneath gault brick gauged skewback arches. The farmhouse has a red brick dentil eaves cornice beneath its gabled roof and includes internal gable-end stacks.
