Description

  1. 5305 BURTON STREET (East Side) Nos 11 and 13 (Formerly listed as No 15) SK 7519 SW 1/4 24.10.50.

  1. Late C18/early C19. Red brick with narrow plain frieze, cornice and blocking course. Slate root. 3 widely spaced windows, the 2 outer 1st floor windows are curved 3 light bays with hung sashes and leaded roofs, each has a moulded cornice. All windows are sashes with glazing bars except centre 1st floor which has modern glazing 2 altered C19 shop fronts. This building is of particular interest locally as it was the Old Club much frequented by hunting circles at the height of Melton's fame.
