Description

16 and 18 Sturston Road are early 19th-century buildings made of red brick with an old tiled roof. They stand three storeys tall and have a total of three windows. The windows are sash style with painted lintels and feature only vertical glazing bars. The ground floor of No 18 includes a small shop window from the early to mid-19th century. The buildings have an entablature with a ledged cornice, architrave, and panelled pilasters. Simple curved brackets serve as end stops, a design element that is also found in the doors of both houses. Nos 44, 46 and The Machine public house nearby create a group of local interest.
