Description

House with shop, built around 1800. The front is stuccoed over brick, with a tiled roof. It is three storeys high, with a symmetrical design of two windows on each floor. There is a decorative dentil cornice along the top. The first and second floor windows have moulded surrounds; the first floor windows are 12-pane hornless sash windows and the second floor windows are 6-pane hornless sash windows. A wide doorway with a raised panelled door is on the left side, separated from a mid-to-late 19th century shop front by a 2-light sash window. The shop front extends to the right, with panelled pilasters and a panelled door beneath a rectangular overlight. There are ridge stacks on the roof. The rear of the building has 2-light casement windows.

Alternatively, the building dates from the 18th century, constructed of red brick with a tiled roof and five windows. No. 13 has a stuccoed front, whilst the shop fronts are modern. This building is part of a group including numbers 9 to 17.
