Description
Number 7 on Burton Street is an 18th-century building, although its south wall and chimney were altered in the 19th century, possibly when the nearby Colles Hall was constructed. The building is made of red brick, featuring ashlar quoins and ashlar chimney dressings. It has end chimneys and a modern pantiled roof with an eaves band. The structure is two storeys tall and has three windows with unbarred or late 19th-century glazing in the sashes. The outer first floor includes two canted oriel windows. The shop front was altered in the late 19th or early 20th century. This building is part of a group of listed buildings on Burton Street, which includes Nos 24 to 36 (even), all of local interest.
