Description
Nos. 34, 35, and 35A on Market Place are a building with a facade from the 18th and 19th centuries, originally known as The Old Black Boy Inn. The facade is rendered, and the building features a steeply pitched Swithland slate roof with end chimneys. It has two storeys and two hipped dormers. There are three sash windows with glazing bars, each framed by plain stuccoed architraves that include keystones. The shop fronts have been altered in the 19th century. An arch on the west side leads to a rear passage. The ends of the building have tiled engaged pillars with raised decoration and consoles.
