Description
Colles Hall is a building dating from 1890, constructed of coursed sandstone rubble with ashlar dressings. It features a banded facade and a slate roof. The building has a short crenellated tower at the south corner topped with a tall hipped roof that resembles a spire. It stands three storeys high with bands separating the floors. There is a foundation plaque located below a ground floor window. The south facade includes one mullioned window on both the ground and first floors, while the top floor has a similar window with an arched plaque on the first floor. The northern part of the western facade is gabled and features a large crenellated oriel with mullions and a transom, along with a carved panel below and a trefoil vent above. The ground floor has small side windows and a door with a Tudor arch, along with a two-light mullioned window above. The south side facade is characterized by a central double gable, and a domed cupola rises from the ridge of the roof. Colles Hall is part of a group of listed buildings on Burton Street, which includes Nos 24 to 36 (even), all of which are of local interest.
