Description
Wild's Farmhouse is a mid-18th century farmhouse. It is constructed of coursed ironstone with a pantile roof. The building follows a modified baffle entry plan and is two storeys high with an attic. The west front has four bays, with a door positioned to the right of centre, placed behind a gabled, early 20th-century timber porch. The windows are renewed 3-light casements with glazing bars, the central lights being opening windows. Slightly segmental ironstone skewback arches are above the windows. The window above the door is of two lights. There are two blocked windows at the north end of the facade, remnants of a former upper half-storey. The gabled roof has an early 19th-century brick dentiled eaves cornice. Brick internal gable end stacks and a central ridge stack are also from the 19th century.
