Description
The Old Court House is a former farmhouse located on Eaton Chapel Street. The building features a late 18th century front that is attached to a mid 18th century house, both of which have been reworked in the 20th century. It is constructed of coursed ironstone, with the front section's roof made of graded Swithland slate, while the other roofs are covered with pantiles, some of which are occasionally black glazed.
The front of the building is two storeys high and consists of three bays. It has a central gabled and whitewashed porch, with late 19th century sash windows. The roof is gabled. The mid 18th century section is also two storeys, but its bay system is obscured by 20th century outshuts. The windows in this section are renewed casements, and it features a gabled roof with an internal gable-end stack on the north-west side. Additionally, there is a further two-storey block that abuts the north-west gable, which also has 20th century windows and a door, along with a gabled roof and an internal gable-end stack to the north-west.
