Description
The Old Rectory is a private house that was originally built as a rectory in the early 19th century. The main part of the building is two and a half storeys tall and features three wide bays. It is constructed from coursed ironstone and has slate roofs. The windows are sash style with glazing bars. A single storey extension was added to the ground floor of the facade, likely in the 1830s, and is made of coursed ashlar. The building has a prominent central porch with polygonal shafts on either side of the door, which is arched. On both sides of the porch, there are three-light cross casement windows. The roof of the main block is hipped, with a ridge stack located to the left of the center and additional stacks on the north and south hips.
