Description

This chest tomb, made of limestone, dates from the 18th century and is located approximately 1 meter east of the porch of the Church of St Egelwin the Martyr on Church Street in Scalford. It is a low, monolithic, coffin-shaped tomb featuring an inscription on the south side. The top of the tomb displays initials and a date, which appears to be 1719.
