Description
The Rectory, also known as No 16, is a vicarage built in 1842, with alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed from coursed squared ironstone with limestone dressings and features a slate roof with stone end stacks. The building has a T-shaped plan and is two stories tall with a three-window range. The main front faces east towards the church and includes two 12-pane sash windows on the ground floor, which have limestone sills, jambs, and lintels with key blocks. The first floor has smaller 12-pane sash windows with similar surrounds and lintels. There is a chamfered plinth and limestone quoins at the stone-coped gables, which have kneelers. At the rear, there is a wing that features a four-panelled door on the left side, near the front block, with panelled reveals, limestone jambs, a stone lintel, and a key block dated 1842. The ground and first floors of this wing also have 16-pane sash windows with surrounds similar to those on the main front. The interior has not been inspected.
