Description
Hollies Farmhouse, along with its adjoining service wing and water pump, is a farmhouse dating from the late 18th century and mid 19th century. It is constructed from brick and features a slate roof, with two brick gable stacks. The building is two storeys high, plus garrets, and has a three-bay front with a two-bay service wing to the right.
The front of the farmhouse includes a central six-panelled door with plain jambs and an overlight, flanked by single three-light casement windows. Above this, there is a central two-light casement, again flanked by single three-light casements. All of these window openings have segmental heads. The service wing to the right has two casements with segmental heads and is attached to a lead pump housed in a wooden case. The right gable features a casement window above, and further to the right, another casement above that, both with segmental heads. The left gable has a large two-light sliding sash window to the garret on the right side.
