Description
The barn and outbuildings located to the north of Pickwell Manor date from the 17th century and early 19th century. They are constructed from coursed and squared ironstone and brick, featuring limestone ashlar dressings and slate roofs. The buildings have a rendered plinth, coped gables, and a single lateral coped stone stack.
On the eastern side, there is a single-storey, three-bay block from the 17th century, which includes central round-arched openings and a close-boarded door, flanked by two single two-light chamfered mullioned windows with flat hoods, although the mullions have been removed. Above the door, there are five pigeonholes.
To the west, there is a two-storey, five-bay block from the 19th century, featuring a central door with an overlight, flanked by single two-light casements. To the right, there is a part-glazed door with an overlight, and to the left, a pair of garage doors. Above this section, there is a two-light casement under a cross-eaves gable, flanked by two additional two-light casements. The east gable has been partly rebuilt and features a loading door above.
