Description
Worth House and its service wing are a house built in 1766, with early 19th-century and late 19th-century additions. The structure is made of coursed and squared ironstone and brick, featuring limestone ashlar dressings and slate roofs. It has a chamfered plinth, quoins, two coped gables with kneelers, and three brick gable stacks. The building is two storeys tall, plus garrets, and has four bays.
The south side showcases a three-bay front with a single bay wing to the right. The front features a central 19th-century gabled porch with a panelled door and overlight, flanked by single glazing bar sashes with rendered lintels, the right sash being larger. Above the door, there is a smaller glazing bar sash flanked by two slightly larger sashes. Between the sashes on the right, there is a small datestone inscribed 'Anno Domini 1766'. The service wing has a glazing bar sash on each floor. The west gable includes a small garret casement to the right with a segmental head, while the east gable has a blocked garret casement to the right.
