Description
3B Series No 2 is a welded steel sculpture created in 1968 by Bernard Schottlander, who lived from 1924 to 1999. It is located in the quadrangle of Bosworth Academy in Desford.
This geometric sculpture is made of welded mild steel and is painted black. It stands approximately 3.4 meters tall, 8.1 meters wide, and 3.3 meters deep. The sculpture features four arched sections of varying heights that project at right angles from a central bench. The two tallest arched sections support a ring. There is no plinth, and the sculpture sits directly on a concrete base within a grassed quadrangle.
