Description

This building comprises a cottage, house, and shop, dating from the late 18th century, early 19th century, and mid-19th century.

No. 19 is a two-storey building constructed of red brick, with a 20th-century concrete tile roof and a single gable stack. It features a segment-headed doorway containing an unusual patterned door. To the right of the doorway is a two-light sliding sash window with glazing bars, also under a slightly larger segment head. Above is a further two-light window.

No. 21 is a single-storey plus attic building with a thatched roof, raised brick coped gables, a single gable stack and a single ridge stack. It has a Swithland stone plinth. The front has three bays, with an off-centre half-glazed door set in a reeded wooden surround, flanked by single tripartite plain casement windows. Two glazing bar through eaves eyebrow dormers are visible in the attic space.

No. 23 is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond, using pale headers, and has a 20th-century concrete tile roof with a single gable stack. It has a half-glazed 4-panel door and a two-light cross casement window to the left, both with segment-headed wedge lintels. A post box is positioned to the left of the entrance. Above the door is a three-light sliding sash window with glazing bars, and to the right, a blind window. A slightly lower mid-19th century addition is visible to the right, constructed of red brick with a slate roof and chamfered plinth. The addition has a two-pane shop window on the ground floor, and a three-light sliding sash window with glazing bars above.
