Description

No. 16 High Street is a house dating from around 1600, with alterations made in the 20th century. It features a timber frame with square panels and curved braces, brick nogging, and a Swithland stone plinth. The roof is made of Swithland slate and has a single brick gable stack. The building is a single storey with attics and has a single bay front, comprising four bays of timber framing. On the ground floor, there is a 20th-century three-light window, with a smaller similar window above it, topped by a slate eyebrow. To the right, there is a very small fixed light. The gable end includes a 20th-century planked entrance door and a three-light casement window, both located on the ground floor.
