Description
The garden wall and gazebo, located approximately 200 meters east of Tooley Park Cottages, date from the 18th century with some alterations in the 19th century. The structure features red brick walls laid in English garden wall bond, topped with brick coping. The wall stands about 9 feet high and encloses an irregular pentagonal area, aligned north-east to south-west, and includes several arched entrances, with the main entrance positioned on the south-west side. The gazebo is octagonal and two stories tall, situated towards the north-west, with offsets above the vaulted ground storey. This structure was formerly associated with Tooley Hall, which has since been demolished, and was the residence of the Boothby family.
