Description
Cedar Lawn is a house built in the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed of red brick with cement dressings, featuring a modillion cornice and a parapet on a Swithland slate roof that has four ridge stacks. The building is three storeys high and has a regular three-window front. The windows are sashes set in moulded, cased, and shouldered surrounds, with moulded sill brackets on the first and second floors. On the ground floor, there are square bay windows flanking the entrance, which also has a modillion cornice. The central entrance features a panelled door with a fanlight, topped by a large later 19th-century round-headed hood that has horizontal side pieces on paired antae at the front and a single anta at the rear. This house is included for its group value.
