Description

The George Fox Monument is a memorial dated 1872, designed in the form of an obelisk made of ashlar. It features an inscription that reads: "TO MEMORY OF / GEORGE FOX / THE FOUNDER OF THE SOCIETY OF FRIENDS / BORN NEAR THIS SPOT AT / FENNY DRAYTON / A.D. 1642 / DIED A.D. 1690 / AND WAS INTERRED IN BUNHILL / FIELDS BURIAL GROUND LONDON / ERECTED 1872".
