Description
Witherley Lodge is an early 19th-century house constructed of Flemish bond brick, featuring a wood moulded and modillion cornice. The building has a hipped slate roof with brick end stacks and ridge stacks on the wings. It is designed in a U-shape with rear wings and stands two storeys tall, presenting a symmetrical front with a three-window range. The entrance is marked by a six-panelled door that includes a decorative fanlight and panelled reveals, framed by a moulded stucco doorcase supported by Ionic half-columns, patarae, and an open pediment. The windows are 16-pane sashes with rusticated rendered flat arches and moulded keyblocks. The central window is a 12-pane sash featuring a rendered lintel adorned with moulded palm leaves and a cornice on brackets. The interior has not been inspected.
