Description
The Old House is a house dating from the early 19th century, with a rear wing added in the mid 19th century. It is constructed of Flemish bond brick and features a hipped slate roof with two brick internal stacks. The wing has a brick dentil cornice and a plain-tile half-hipped roof. The layout follows a central staircase plan, extending to an L-shape with the wing at an angle to the left at the rear. The building has two storeys and a symmetrical front with a three-window range. The entrance features a moulded fielded six-panelled door set in a reeded wood architrave, complete with corner roundels and a cornice. The ground floor windows are ogee-arched sashes with Gothick glazing, while the first floor has 16-pane sashes and a central 12-pane sash, all with brick flat arches. The interior has not been inspected.
