Description

Arbour Cottages is a terrace of eight houses built in the mid-19th century. The houses are constructed of Flemish bond brick and feature a steeply pitched roof made of fish-scale and plain tiles, complete with ridge cresting. Each house has brick ridge stacks, which have been rebuilt at the tops. The design of each house follows a two-unit plan and consists of two storeys with a two-window range. Each house includes a central open-fronted porch topped with a stone-coped gable and a ribbed door inside. The windows are three-light casements with decorative glazing bars that create octagonal panes, and they are adorned with segmental arches and hood moulds. The interiors have not been inspected.
