Description

This is a mid-19th century mile post located opposite the lower gate to Great Glen House on London Road. It is made of cast iron, painted white with black lettering. The mile post features a triangular design with the inscription 'To London 91' on the triangular cresting. On the left canted side, it reads 'Lester 7', and on the right side, it reads 'Habro 8'. The mile post stands at a height of 1.5 meters.
