Description

The Roundhouse is an early 19th-century building located on the south side of Main Street in Great Bowden. It features a round tower-like projection on its western side. The structure has a stone plinth, with coursed ironstone on the western side and red brick on the eastern side. It has a hipped slate roof and stands three storeys tall. The eastern facade includes five windows, each with two lights, wooden mullions, and lintels. In the center, there are double loft doors. The western facade has two windows on either side of a two-storey central tower, which is topped with a conical slate roof. The building was likely used for industrial purposes in the past.
