Description

Tudor House, located at 21 Manor Road in Great Bowden, is a cruck-framed house with a 17th-century facade and a datestone from 1746 above the door, which likely indicates a restoration. The house features two pairs of crucks that extend to the full height at the eastern end. The facade is made of ironstone, and it has a Swithland slate roof with an off-centre chimney and an end chimney. The house is 1 and a half storeys tall, with two gabled dormers that break through the eaves and a smaller eyebrow dormer in the center. The ground floor has three windows, each with three lights and 17th-century stone mullions, along with a small altered window at the end. The door has a four-centred arch and there is a rear cross wing.
