Description

1 Main Street is a 18th century building located in Great Bowden. It features a painted brick facade with a plinth and decorative bands above the ground and first floors. The building has a slate roof with end chimneys and stands two storeys tall. There are two windows on the upper floor, which are sashes with glazing bars, while the lower windows are 19th century reproduction casements. The central door is topped with a flat hood supported by consoles, flanked by pilasters, and has a rectangular fanlight above it. The building is situated in a prominent position facing the end of Langton Road.
