Description

This is a 17th-century ironstone house with a thatched roof, located on The Green in Great Bowden. Originally a single house, it features a central chimney and end chimneys. The building is two storeys high and has three windows in total. Number 32 has a small, early 19th-century style window positioned between the floors, and the windows are largely reproduction casements. A 6-panelled door is present on Number 32, with the top two panels now glazed. The south gable of Number 32 is constructed of red brick with a blue brick band below the gable. The south gable of Number 33 has been rebuilt or refaced in brick above eaves level. Group value is evidenced by its contribution to the character of the area.
