Description
White Angel is a 17th-century building located on the east side of The Green in Great Bowden. The ground floor is constructed of ironstone, featuring a moulded stone band above, except for the southern 18 inches of the facade, which was added later. The first floor has a roughcast facade, and the building is topped with a steeply pitched slate roof and a moulded eaves cornice. It stands two storeys tall and has two windows on the upper floor, which are early 19th-century casements with glazing bars. The ground floor windows consist of three lights with mullions, while the upper floor windows have two lights; the southern window has a moulded frame, and the northern window features reproduction glazing. Dripstone moulds are present above the windows, and there is a door located on the northern side.
