Description
The boundary walls, gate piers, and monuments at the churchyard of the Church of St Peter and St Paul in Great Bowden are of significant historical interest. The walls are primarily constructed of coursed stone, with some sections made of cob. The stone gate piers complement the structure. Within the churchyard, there are table tombs and tombstones dating from the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries, notable for their craftsmanship. The stone monuments feature high relief carvings, while the slate tombstones are finely engraved.
