Description

Nos 16 and 17 on The Green are a pair of early 19th-century cottages. They are constructed from red brick and feature a slate roof, which has a slightly different line compared to the adjacent cottages at Nos 11-15. The buildings are two storeys high and each has one window, which is a sash type with moulded boxed frames and glazing bars set under gauged red brick arches. Each cottage also has a small rectangular fanlight above a six-panelled door. These cottages occupy a prominent position along the highest side of The Green.
