Description

Churchill Cottage is an early 18th-century cottage located on the north side of Main Street, to the north of Loddington Hall. It is constructed from coursed ironstone rubble and features a thatched roof with brick gable apexes. The cottage is two storeys high and has a two-unit plan, with a central doorway that is accessed through a modern porch. The outer windows are 3-light casements; the left window has a flat timber lintel, while the right window has a stone head. The upper windows are also 3-light casements. The gables are coped, and the left gable wall has been rebuilt in rubble. There are gable end stacks present.
