Description

The Cottage is an early 18th-century cottage, originally situated on Peveril Road but now on Hall Lane in Ashby Magna. It is likely rendered over brickwork, with a thatched roof that has been replaced with corrugated sheeting. The cottage is one and a half storeys high, with a three-unit plan; one bay is to the left of the doorway, and three windows are to the right. All windows are three-light casements with flat wooden lintels, although the right-hand window is a replacement. The windows on either side of the doorway have panelled shutters. A single three-light window is set within an eyebrow dormer. A gable end stack is present, and an axial stack is located between the two right-hand bays.
