Description

Home Farmhouse and the attached range of outbuildings date from the late 18th century and 19th century. The building is constructed of red brick, with some stone, and features a slate roof with coped gables and kneelers. There is one gable stack and one ridge stack. The structure has two storeys, a cellar, and an attic.

The east front has a first-floor band and a plain cornice, with five bays. The central doorway is framed by a 19th-century Tuscan porch that has two columns, a cornice, and a parapet, leading to six-panel double doors with fanlights above. On either side of the doorway are pairs of 2-light casements. To the right, there is a cellar window. On the first floor, there are small, central single-light casements to the left and right, flanked by pairs of 2-light casements. All the window openings have flat arches, which are now painted, and all the casements are from the 19th century.

To the left, there is a two-storey, forward-projecting range with a slate roof, coped gable, and gable stack. Adjoining this to the left is a lower range with a 20th-century concrete tile roof. This range includes, from right to left, a large vehicle entrance with a segmental arch, a doorway with a plank door and cambered arch, a late 19th-century sash window with a cambered arch, and a 20th-century single-light window.
