Description
Talbot House is a house dating from the late 18th century and 19th century, with a likely earlier core. It is constructed of red brick featuring chequered burnt headers and has a slate roof with two gable stacks and one ridge stack. The building has two storeys and an east front that includes a partial plinth and a dentilled cornice. The façade has six bays, with the three bays on the right being symmetrical. The central doorway features a plank door set within a segmental arch. Flanking the doorway are single, three-light casements, also with segmental arches. To the left, there is a blocked segmental arched opening that has been replaced with a 20th-century window, followed by a vehicle entrance with a segmental arch and 20th-century double gates, and then a three-light sliding sash window with a flat arch. Above, there are four three-light casements. Inside, a chamfered axial beam can be seen from the front doorway.
