Description

WEST FELTON C.P. SJ 32 NE 8/50 The Buildings Farmhouse GV II Farmhouse. Late C18, possibly incorporating parts of an earlier building, with later additions and alterations. Red brick; slate roof with coped verges on carved stone kneelers. T-plan with full- height gabled range to rear. 3 storeys with stepped eaves cornice. 2 windows; mid-C19 casements in C18 segmental- headed openings to left and right of roughly central entrance. Blocked segmental-headed window to left on ground floor and two C19 metal casements directly below eaves to second floor. Wide gabled C19 timber porch over 6-panel inner door (upper panels now glazed) in plain pilastered doorcase. Prominent cruciform red brick ridge stack immediately to right forming baffle entry. Salop Fire Insurance Plate above porch numbered 2680. Rear range has dentilled eaves cornice and integral end stack. Mid-C19 yellow brick dairy in angle to rear on left and 2-storey gabled brick ranges attached to rear wing partly remodelled mid-C19.
