Description
No. 2 Church Street is a house that has been converted into a shop. It dates back to the 16th century but was refronted in the 19th century, with the right return front refaced in the 20th century. The building features a timber frame with an incised plaster front and a red brick right return, while the timber frame is partly exposed at the rear. It has a plain tiled roof and stands two storeys tall. The first floor has two regular windows, which are sashes without glazing bars. On the ground floor, there is a 20th-century double shopfront with central paired glazed doors. Inside, the heavy timber frame is visible, showcasing heavily-jowled posts.
